Dr. Alyn L. Benezette, D.O.
Dr. Benezette isClinical Director and Founding Partner at Coastal Neurology and Pain Management Centers received his Doctorate of Osteopathy from Michigan State University in 1981; this was followed by his internship at Botsford General Hospital in Michigan. He then undertook his residency and fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit. Dr. Benezette served the U.S. Navy Medical Corps in the U.S. and Japan and continues to serve the United States Naval Ready.
Board certified, licensed neurologist. Pain management and balance disorder physician.
Evaluates and manages the broad scope of acute, chronic and complex problems related to injured workers, Florida Department of Labor/Workmen’s Compensation, State of Florida and New York State.
Evaluates and treats personal injury cases from both plaintiff and defendant perspectives.
Dr. Sanjay Sastry holds a Florida license and is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain management. He completed his fellowship in addiction medicine through the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida. Dr. Sastry's extensive training has furnished him with expertise in both medical and interventional pain management. He trained under world-renowned pain management physicians Dr. Gabor Racz and Dr. Alon Winnie and addictionologist and published author Dr. Mark Gold.
Dr. Sastry is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management, American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Addiction Medicine and the Florida Society of Addiction Medicine. He is multi-lingual and speaks English, German, Spanish, French and Kannada.
Dr. Neil M. Brown, D.C., is Co-Founder and Clinic Administrator for Coastal Neurology and Pain Management Centers.
Dr. Brown received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1978 and is licensed within the states of Florida and California. He co-founded and was President of AIIA Managed Care, one of the largest chiropractic-managed care PPO’s in the country.
At the invitation of numerous industry-related organizations, Dr. Brown lectures across the country to promote the philosophies for managed-care cost-containment procedures in health care.
He is an expert medical adviser for the Division of Workers’ Compensation in Tallahassee, and he is certified in administering impairment and disability evaluations. Dr. Brown is a member of the Florida Chiropractic Association and the Volusia County Chiropractic Society.
Dr. Mirza S. Beg M.D.
Dr. Mirza Beg is board certified by the American Board of Disability Specialists. He is a neurologist and pain management specialist specializing in pain in the lower back, neck pain, headaches and extremity pains. He provides consults, trigger point injections, joint injections, epidural injections (transforaminal, caudal, and cervical), facet and sacroiliac joint injections, injections under fluoroscopic guidance and lumbar discograms. He has served as Medical Director at Memory Centers of America, Inc. and NY Institute of Health where he supervised a team of research scientists, psychologists and social workers in the development of strategies to provide treatment and services for patients with memory decline.
Dr. Beg has considerable experience as a consulting neurologist to geriatric patients dealing with headaches, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, seizures, neck pain and lower back pain.
Dr. Kristeen R. Ortega received her Doctor of Medicine from Cebu Institute of Medicine in the Philippines in 1996. She is licensed in four states, including Florida, and is certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Ortega’s professional experience in the United States and the Philippines has centered on the areas of pain management and acute/inpatient rehabilitation medicine. Most recently she has been staff physician for the Prospira PainCare Center at the National Pain Institute in Lake Mary, Florida.
Nurse practitioner Rebecca Martin received her Master of Science in nursing from East Tennessee State University in 1998. She is a member of the Epsilon Sigma chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing.
Ms. Martin is licensed in three states, including Florida, and has been part of the COASTAL PAIN & NEUROLOGY CENTER team since 2010. Her professional background includes extensive experience working at health care facilities that focus on neurology, headaches and pain management.
